Day 1 New Brunswick – MA (Sat)
Travel today through the State of Maine to Massachusetts. Comfort Stops will be made along the way. After settling into our hotel, the hearty and the shoppers might enjoy some time at the “Rockingham Mall”(no tax) where over 1,212,000 people shop each month. Some favourites are JC Penny, Macys & Sears plus over 150 more stores. Tonight take the time to enjoy our hotel, just relax and get to know your travelling companions. See you in the morning!
Day 2 Day in NY (Sun)
This morning we depart early for New York. This is a busy day but an exciting one. You will meet our personal guide for a tour of the “Big Apple” including many of the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Manhattan. New York is famous for its food from around the world. Noshing through NY is our new tour this year. We will taste a variety of ethnic treats of the city. Throughout the tour, the group will enjoy tasting delicacies from Little Italy, Chinatown, Greenwich Village and the Lower East Side. After we check into our hotel, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure. This evening’s highlight is Broadway’s Radio City Christmas Spectacular. New & different each year, it is truly magnificent. After the performance we continue on to Rockefeller Center for an evening visit to the “Top of the Rock”. Discover New York in all its forms from 70 stories up as our high-speed shuttle takes us to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. (CB)
Day 3 Full Day in NY (Mon)
Today you are in for a treat! You have heard of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, this year we are offering Breakfast at Macys, with a NY Fashion Writer for the New York Times. It was such a success in 2007 we thought we would include it again. Macys is the largest department store in the World and along with a scrumptious breakfast in a private setting you will see the latest fashion trends for 2009. Today is a free day for browsing, shopping and sightseeing. You asked for it…. a free day in the “Big Apple”, so take in some sights, skate at Rockefeller Center, do a little shopping or just people watch. You might even see a Movie Star! Tonight you will be amazed at the lights, sounds and excitement of Broadway. Stroll Fifth Avenue, the awesome Christmas lights and the smell of roasted chestnuts. I love the hustle and bustle of the shoppers on Broadway. There is nowhere like it!
Day 4 Full Day in NY (Tues.)
Enjoy your day today, maybe take in the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, or travel free on the Staten Island Ferry and see the New York skyline from the Hudson River. Enjoy a full day at leisure or join your tour director doing some Christmas shopping in the “Big Apple”. Tonight our seats are waiting for us at one of Broadways theatre performances. Join your director (optional) at one of New York’s famous restaurants. This pre-theatre dinner is always a success. Next sit back and enjoy a New York Broadway performance (TBA after the Tony Awards the first of the year). What a fantastic way to complete our stay in the “city that never sleeps”.
Day 5 Tax Free New Hampshire (Wed)
Say goodbye to the “Big Apple” this morning as we make our way to New Hampshire, our home for the night. Comfort stops will be made along the way. We arrive at our hotel in time for a refreshment or two and then after a little rest, the shoppers among us might want to go to the Foxrun Mall (no Sales Tax) for a little shopping.
Day 6 Home (Thurs)
After breakfast we depart for home. It is a driving day, a time to reflect on our holiday and the many sights we’ve seen and friends we’ve met. A stop will be made in Freeport on the way home. Comfort stops will be made along the way. Happy Holiday! (CB)
