Croatia

1,185 islands, reefs and islets, that are scattered right the way down the littoral from the Istrian peninsula in the north to Dubrovnik in the south.

Croatia has even more to offer tourists than just golden sunshine (almost 3,000 hours per year!), crystal-clear waters and spectacular beaches.

Each region of Croatia has a unique charm. With its natural beauty, clear blue seas, romantic cities, beautiful coastline and unspoilt beaches, it’s impossible to recommend one region of Croatia over another.Croatia offers 1.778 kilometers of seaside.

CROATIA'S UNIQUE WONDERS:

Plitvice Lakes- one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as a National Park, this stunning network of 16 lakes is connected by waterfalls and surrounded by lush vegetation and strikingly eroded cliff faces.
The park's attraction also include several caves and the varied flora and fauna. A guided tour of the park lasts about two hours and a half, including both a boat ride and a walking tour.

Dubrovnik is one of the most attractive and most popular cities on the Mediterranean. Dubrovnik is a city with a unique cultural history from 1272, and world famous monumental heritage and beauty - one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Brac Island, Bol - Zlatni Rat or Golden Horn Beach has a unique shape, like a white tongue stretched into the sea. It is unique also for the fact that it changes shape and position, depending on the wind.
Croatia's most spectacular is the vast, golden shingle sandbar, almost 580 yards long, known as the Golden Horn. It juts out into the water at Bol on the island of Brac, the large island opposite Makarska.

Brijuni Islands found along the southwestern coast of Istria, were proclaimed a national park in 1983. They cover an area of 2,700 acres, and total fourteen larger and small islands, of which the largest are Veliki and Mali Brijuni. The island has a zoo, pheasant farm and safari park with numerous diverse forms of animal life from throughout the world. Remains of a typical summer residence and temple from Roman times in the Verige Gulf, and on the western shore, very valuable ruins dating from the late ancient-Byzantine period and the Byzantine basilica of St. Mary dating from the sixth century are located on the western coast of the island.
