Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia, and is the capital city of Victoria region, always in competition with Sydney in different areas such as sport and economy. Melbourne is located near the Yarra River and sometime was the main city in Australia. Is called the Marvelous Melbourne for its unique environment, it has it all, modern buildings, beautiful beaches and can be said is the most cultural city in the country, gives a lot of importance to the sports and here is realized the famous Australian Tennis Open, the Melbourne Cup and the Australian Grand Prix.

Melbourne can be considered the world's largest cities in area having approximately 6110 sq.km., has many gardens and parks which occupy the third part of this area.

Queenscliff is an important tourist destination but in old times it used to be a fishing village. Many facilities for visitors are offered in this elegant resort, from accommodation to restaurants. An important icon is the black lighthouse of Fort Queensclif, was created to protect Port Phillip Bay from an attack.

Mornington Peninsula is situated south-east of Melbourne, between Port Phillip Bay and Western Port, this Peninsula has sandy and clear water beaches and rock formations, one of them is Arthur's Seat at Dromana which has splendid views from Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay. Gold discovery made of this city a very busy one and now it's the largest city in Victoria. The Sovereign Hill is the main attraction in this city, now it's a gold museum and is based in a real gold mine, also has a hotel and a theater.

Thanks to the time of gold discoveries Bendigo has many interesting and historical buildings, well preserved until now and some of them are the Bendigo Art Gallery, Bendigo Town Hall and the Post Office. Bendigo has a big chinese community and their traditions are present in the city as can be seen in the Chinese Temple built in 1860.

Port Albert was established to serve as a port trade with Tasmania, was named like that because of Prince Albert. Now is an important port and also a touristic destination with many old buildings to see as the Maritime Museum, the Port Albert Hotel and the Christ Church.

Healesville is a very visited resort at the northeast of Melbourne and is popular for the Healesville Sanctuary a wildlife park with many native Australian animals all of them living in a natural environment, this park has an area of 32 hectares.
